Brihaspati Kund, Panna Bundelkhand



Brihaspati Kund is a natural crater located in Panna District of Madhya Pradesh, Bundelkhand.

It is popular tourist spot among locals. Distance from Panna is 25 km and distance from Kalinjar Fort is 18 km southwards.

Brihaspati Kund, is situated in Pahari Khera village near Kalinjar Fort, of Panna District of Madhya Pradesh, which is part of Bundelkhand. At this place Devguru Brihaspati had founded an Ashram and performed his Yagnas. Later Lord Rama has visited here to meet various Rishis during exile period.


The  Distance of Brihaspati Kund from Pahari Khera village is about 6 Km southwards. You can see natural beauty of Baghein (Baghin) River valley and Waterfalls from Here.

You may go via Nagod to Kalinjar road it is situated near Pahari kheda village, after crossing the village you have to turn left side. a sign-board is there. Only physically strong persons can go to near the fall. there are not proper route to go to fall.


The area of ​​Kheda hills on the border of Banda and Panna district is famous as a diamond area. This area surrounded by trees and stones is also mentioned in the Puranas. From ancient times till today, this area is a place of worship for sages and sages.

It is believed that there is no impoverishment in this area. People can be seen searching for diamonds among pebbles and stones. In this area, the pool of treasures is Brihaspati Kund.


In this pool surrounded by stones, claims are made of numerous diamonds and jewels. But what if someone reaches here to steal diamonds?  It is said that whoever arrived here with unconscious intentions could not survive for long. After all, who protects the diamonds and jewels here?


According to the Bhagavata Purana, before the exile of Rama, this region was the center of austerities of sages and sages. Here demons also used to create havoc. According to the Bhagavata Purana, Brihaspati Rishi once pleased the Gods and Goddesses by doing severe penance here. Pleased with his austerity, the gods told the sage Brihaspati that there would never be impoverishment here. Also, no one will ever steal money from this pool. That is, the divine power is protecting the treasure of this pool.


According to Acharya Sanjay Vasudev, the people around this pool will always be prosperous. Will never be poor Because of this, no one can steal here. So till date nobody could steal anything from there and now nobody even tries to steal.
